VENT plug in tranny blow out and pissing fluid?

so last night i was doing some drag racing and poped the hood to check everything out and notice some trans fljuid on the top of the tranny

after looking closer it seems this little plug/vent? next to the shifter linkages on the trans popped out?

anyone ever had this happen and is there a fix or should i just buy another one and put it back in? maybe i had knocked it loose when i took the tranny out?

Per the service manual....

Apply sealant (3M AAD Part Number 8001 or equivalent) to inserted portion.

I installed one without sealant and had a leak.

i wouldnt completely seal it off.. make it so it can pop during extreme pressure. its listed as a breather for the transmission and the part # is MD733296

its a rubber plug and rtv'ed in like the guy above said that quoted the technical manual.

if the tranny sees abnormal pressure that plug will most likely blow off saving it from exploding or doing something crazy. (thats what i would think atleast)

If you get pressure in the tranny, and it will pressurize when hot, oil may be forced through the seals. The pressure needs a way to escape. All gear boxes have breathers.
