I looked and even Luke's stock turbo didnt make 500whp on a 40psi spike at 4,000 on the pulls that made 522 (2.0L 11:1). Our Tech Jake made 476/495 at 27psi on his 10:1 2.4/E85/Stock IX and at 4,000 he made 348/456. Admittedly we might have been able to get more out of Jake's if his wierdo MBC hadnt acted up and we had to leave it on WG line with the actuator cranked.

Honestly don't know.

Between the extra baffling in the oil pan, kiggley HLA, Oring, Dual catch can/Vent set up, Power Enterprises HG and these super ignorant *** ARP head studs I hope I don't have any issues.

Let you know a year after I get it running.

I've always heard the "Go 2.4. It's Cheaper." Is that actually true or not?

I blew my block back in April. I ended up getting a used 4G63 block for less than $800 delivered to my house.

So how much is the 46G4 block plus all the extras to getting it to work on the EVO?

You can probably get a junk yard 4G64 from a gallant or eclipse for like 200. Common engine blocks are relatively cheap.

There is no better engine for an EVO than a 2.3, unless you are building a car for drag use only. The new 2.3RPM engine we build is simply fantastic.

answers to your question

waterpump adaptor 50
ams headgasket 165
fidanza camgears 140(several set for sale in marketplace various prices)
4g64 time belt 50(yes you can still use the 4g63 belt if you wish)

so what 405 give or take. Not bad at all as stated you can get a block/crank from AWD motorsports and 100mm crank for 500shipped or junkyard it if you wish.

so for 905 give or take you will have all the parts now you need the regular stuff
pistons
rods
bearings
frontcase
waterpump
pullies(can use orginal if you wish i didnt)
machine work(cleaning shaving etc)
apr headstuds
assembly of everything

yeah so probably save around 400-500ish. While nice to save money, if 500 is going to blow your budget (not you rock) on a full engine build, I'm not sure what to say. haha

To me the only real reason to go 2.4L is that you can get a block this very instant over waiting to find a 4G63 block.
