Question How do u have your Greddy Type S?

I was just wondering if anyone else has taken out the 2nd spring inside there Type S. Does anyone know which it better, to leave them both in or just to leave one of the springs in?

I monkeyed with my TypeS for months, and I could never get a setting that worked how I liked so I got rid of it and went back to the stock BOV.

I did, however, find 2 settings that worked pretty well on the TypeS:

1) Both springs in and the screw on top loosened all the way.

2) The larger spring removed and the screw on top at about half way.

The valve opened very easily in both cases, but if I tightened it down more, then it wouldn't open in some cases resulting in the car stumbling like it was going to stall.

I concluded that with the TypeS you are either going to hear the BOV everytime you lift off the gas, or have your car stumble and stall.

Maybe someone else who uses the TypeS will chime in here. Just thought I would let you know my experience with it.

Peace

Is there a procedure on how to dismantle the BOV and take out the second smaller spring? Is it as simple as undoing the 5 bolts on the cover, taking the cover off and removing a spring or is there more to it.

Man Im having probs with my BOV too, its a forge reirc and it wants to flutter no matter how you set it. Honestly, I think the stock BOV is the best working and I think I am switching back also. the litle plastic black one doesnt look as good as the polished , but oh well it works fine.

Take out the smaller spring and you can tighten the adjuster down to about 6-8 threads coming out the top of the valve. This the the way I have it and it works great!
