Phantom Vacuum Leak

So I just rebuilt my motor, got it running and it runs great apart from the idle. Idle is rough and lower than the ECU calls for. More over, I hear a loud hissing/whistling noise characteristic of a vacuum leak.

Problem is, it's coming from the overfill tank/PS reservoir area...and as far as I know, there aren't any vacuum lines there. I could be wrong but there aren't any that I see.

But there's definitely a whistling noise at idle and the idle is lower and rough so first thing I'm saying is vacuum leak.

Anybody have any ideas??

Get a propane torch, connect a piece of hose to the tip, crack the valve and hold the end of the hose around the suspect areas and listen for the idle to change.

You can use starting fluid, also. However, it's a little more dangerous.

Keep moving things around first to see if you disturb it and it changes noise then you found it
