Port and polish or aftermarket?

I'm debating whether I port my exhaust manifold or buy after market.

Back in my evo 8 I bought an aftermarket manifold and was satisfied. So I'm asking guys who actually ported their manifolds and what are the results.

What are the pros and cons?

Can you afford either option? Can you have visually aftermarket parts?
If you answered yes, there are a few good options out there. JMFab/CBRD, Toxic, Mona Lisa and so on. They will flow more then a ported stocker.

Yes but I read it somewhere that some ported there's and produced more torque. not sure if that info is reliable. The answers that i'm looking at is does after market produce more power but not enough torque? does ported manifolds produce more torque? aftermarkets are nice and big but gets rid off the heat shield. very few offer heat shields for their manifolds.

What i'm looking at is cost and results. Like, if I port my manifold, is it 5x cheaper and gain the same results? IF porting will give me more torque than hp and aftermarket is vice versa, and i'm leaning on balancing hp and trq, should I go for porting or aftermarket?

i'm looking for overall pros and cons, not just "buy this because it will produce a lot of power" thing

MAP has a tubular manifold that is their sleeper series that fits under a heat sheild. They have a chart showing its gains, but not sure how much more gain over a ported stocker.
