i have a 2.3 with a 30r and 272s now. i want to port and polish my head and i was thinking about getting some bigger cams while its all apart. but im not sure if its worth it. would it make the turbo spool later with the bigger cams, because i spool at like 2500-3000 now. also since its a 2.3 i was thinking that it would help with the spool anyways even if the cams where a lil bit bigger but idk.

larger displacement stroker motors are much more forgiving of longer duration cam shafts. Using the 280's on a 2.3 or 2.4 would be about as easy as the 272's on a 2.0. I think you will find the 280's a great camshaft for your motor.
