that spot is where the piston skirt rubs the wall. this is why there is a oil squirter in the factory rods to squirt oil on that cylinder wall in that area, to minimise what you are seeing here. in short its normal. although these cylinders look a bit worse than what I normally see.

 

Normal for a higher mileage engine. 50k+.....
