Excedy Twin Disk clutch anyone?

i was wondering does anyone have this clutch? reason being is that a buddy of mines had one installed and when the clutch pedal is pushed in, it produces a weird noise like some kind of rubbing noise or something. i told him that it could be the throwout bearing but i an not certain. Also the clutch have not been broken in it, the car have about 5 miles on the new clutch and rebuilt trans. please let me know if this is normal or not with these clutches, thanks alot.

it is normal for multiplate clutches to make noise with the pedal pushed in. it should sound like a rattling/ chatter

Lots of guys here are running that clutch, pretty common. I ran one for a while before I went nuts with the build.

With the pedal pushed in you will get a rattle from the floater plate and discs moving around, it'll make the noise weather you are stopped or durring shifting.

The other noise thats common is the "seal bark" on clutch apply, there are quite a few threads on that though so you'll have to look around a bit.

Just make sure the adjustment is correct on the pedal, you'll have a rough time getting into first and reverse if it's off.
