Question Clutch, LSD, and bottom end questions

I have five questions:
1. Who makes the strongest single plate, non-puck clutch and what's it rated at? Either organic or kevlar material.

2. If you are running a puck clutch, are you sprung or unsprung?

3. Does a front LSD make a big difference driving in the snow / low grip conditions? I'm looking at a lot of 8s, and I want to know if they can handle the snow. I know tires make a huge difference, so assume I would have a set of snow tires.

4. How much of a difference is there between the 8 and 9 bottom ends as far as stock durability? What are they both good to reliably.

5. Are the axles a weak point in the driveline at 450whp? If so, who makes upgraded versions?

Thanks for any info.

your going to get use the Search feature, but I'll give a few a shot.
1. IDK, I'm running ACT Extreme, street disk. It's holding 400lbs no problem. Unsprung for daily driver = annoying, chatter, noise, etc.
3. Either car is a blast in the snow. I run Conti DWS in winter.
4. stock internals, seems like rule of thumb is controlling torque. <450lbs @ max
5. stock axles hold pretty much anything, just have to know how to launch.

good luck on your search. BTW, beware of the "totally stock" cars, I doubt many exist...

I'm usually leery of totally stock. It makes me think the person doesn't know much if anything about the car, and maybe bought it for looks, the name, etc... Not saying this is always the case, but more often than not it is.

I prefer modded cars, and especially cars where the owner did most of the maintenance themselves. If you can't even change your own oil or brakes, I just get nervous.
