SKUNK2 Cam Gears
SKUNK2 Cam Gears
I have been seeing these cam gears on EBay for a while now. Yet, I still need to see a post that mentions them. Do they even fit our cars? Anybody know if they can keep timing and not bust out loose w high power applications?

This is the first I've heard of a fitment for the EVO8. If this vendor is legit these are good gears at a good price. I've used Skunk2 gears on my TSi's 4G63 with success. They did not slip.
Perhaps contacting Skunk2 is in order to verify these are a correct fitment for the EVO8.

Puckadog's Skunk 2's rubbed the inside of the timer cover a little more than the Vishnu gears. You'll need to use the Dremel on the inner cover. Besides the inner ribs on the inside of the cover, you'll need to use the Dremel on the inside top (curved area) of the cover. Just use a little Loctite on the bolts.
If you need cam gears, I'm trying to sell my set of AEM Red cam gears for the evo. They are totally brand new, unopened. I bought them but need money now so I have to sell them. I paid $350 for them. I'm trying to get rid of them for like $300 shipped. Just thought I'd let ya know.
