I need to buy cams for my Mivec and I found a set I want. But, they have 10ish k miles on them. Considering cars are made to run hundreds of thousands of miles I'd assume it wouldn't be a problem. I just want some input. They are Cosworth M2's

NO, bad idea.... on mivec some cams like to snap. Only used cam I with use is FP.

 

As long as there is no excess wear on the lobes your good.

 

alot of people have done it with no problems. lol just inspect the cam

 

I agree with ascca, there was a problem awhile back with mivec cams snapping. Nothing good can come of that.

Spend the extra money and have nothing to worry about.
