Wiseco piston install questions

First question, where does the oil support ring go and does it need to be filed?

Second question, Which way should that dimple be facing? Toward the cam side or tranny side? Or does it matter?

Thanks to anyone that helped me.

Forget the dimple. look at valve cutouts. the larger cutouts are for the intake valve. the exhaust cutout is smaller. then make sure all dimples face same way when all are installed.

The oil support rail goes on first in the oil ring groove. then slide to bottom. put the oil control rings above it.

much much luck to you. you will need it..

I suggest you just take it to someone who knows what they're doing... It takes a lot more than just putting it all together and throwing it in. You have to have the ring end gaps right and make sure your piston to cylinder clearance is just right. Too tight and youll screw up the cylinder walls and piston skirts. Too loose and the rings won't set properly.
