Vaccum or cap it off. All other Vaccum sources were capped on my vc. Ssp / kozmic motorsports made a great kit.

I've been looking to into catch cans for the evo lately and have come across numerous different setups. When deleting the pcv what do you do with the hole that is left in its place on the valve cover?

We have actually changed the hose layout in the kit, you now remove that back port on the valve cover and tap that for the second breather hose.

So you tap the pcv hole and run a line to the breather can? So that would be two lines from the valve cover to the catch can? Are there any ports running from the catch can to the intake acting as an additional vacuum source?

Correct on the first part. No to the second part, there is no vac on the can as it is a fully vented setup.

Depends what you're using it for.

I plan on going with a Saikou Michi can when the time comes.

Bump, I just recently built my motor and invested in a VTA JMFAB catch can. I mounted it in my engine bay near the passenger right front strut. I cannot stand the smell, neither can my passengers.

1) I'm contemplating either running a tube off the top of it and dumping it to the ground near the exhaust(still vta just fumes will be relocated and less strong)

Or

2)getting the exhaust scavenger and running the top part of the catch can into the exhaust scavenger. Will this be ok, will this have a negative effect on my catch can?

See my fabulous drawing for reference.

Ive personally been looking at either venting it back to the intake, but putting a good size inline filter, or routing the can so it vents/dumps under the car somewhere, but again with an inline filter. With the latter I can route the filter in an easily accessible place and regularly be able to inspect/replace as needed.

Bringing this back, I have a stock turbo setup for now 280whp/300wtq mustang dyno. I am going to be running a GT3076 shooting for 450whp with kelford 272s and I have a couple catch can setup questions.

Is anyone running the vented dipstick tube with -6an fitting? or the -6an balance shaft inspection hole fitting along with venting the valve cover all in the same can? I am going to run a catch can setup but before I buy one I didnt know if anyone had any input in regards to venting the block as well as the valve cover. Or if venting the two valve cover fittings is all you need. Thanks!

sorry for picture size =/ Is this sort of the setup you are running Binky?

Thats a very good question, is venting the block required? and should it also be connected to the catch can? Like at the bottom of the can, that way all the oil drains back to the pan. Both these guys did it on their blocks

this catch can setup would do everything. my setup probably doesnt need this much venting but thought it was cool and didnt know if anyone had any experience with the vented dipstick tube. the fitting on the bottom lets it drain back into the dipstick straight down.

not trying to say a setup is better than another, was more looking to hear what some people had to say about block venting

The bottom fitting is designed to drain to the ground.
I know there are kits out there that allow it to drain back into the engine, but on any car that's running E85, you're getting water and other stuff in your oil that you don't want to have drain into your engine.

If you have any questions about the kit, feel free to PM or call us.
Thanks,
Zigg
