This has been on my 630whp street driven evo for a long time now, and hasn't budged at all. Works great. I took it for a four hour road trip, ran 10.90's and drove it home.

The vc was off the car a month ago for my build, and they havnt moved at all.

I did this last night. I used a #30 drill bit with a m4x.7 tap and button screws just make sure when ya drill not to go to deep. Magnesium is really easy to work with.

Hey guys. I am thinking to put some steel wool or mesh, to improve oil separation inside stock baffle system of the valve cover. What do you think about that?

Safe to say, any and every valve cover that's powdercoated should have the baffles removed, inspected and cleaned?

I did this due to fear of media still being underneath. I washed it out in a tub, blasted it with hose water for and hour or so shook it around until I didn't see anything left coming out. I was still paranoid after reading about so many engine/oil pump failures so I took off the baffle plate and it was a waste of time. Not a single grain was left in there. I was pretty annoyed but at least was able to confirm that if you wash out the cover properly. It can definitely be done.

its a must if you're inspecting/repairing the baffles of course. you can add bolts to hold down the airflow diverters/oil separator thingers. might as well remove the baffles when enlarging the PVC holes. I see plenty of powder coated VCs with showy catch cans but with skinny hoses

Same situation here. A credible company did the work but I'm still paranoid. I never washed it out after I got it back. I may just buy a new one and worry about it later lol
