Excedy twin disk with 6sp

Ok Excedy Twin disk is installed. New fork TOB and slave. Everything was bleed right and no air. So.. When I drive 1st gear and reverse are super hard to get into. Does the new clutch need to break in to not have it so hard to get into 1st and reverse? Gears have always been a bit notchy when cold but this is totally different. I have to muscle it into gear but its not all the time. Just curious if this is something that just needs to break in. I don't want to trash my tranny thanks
