smokey and the bandit HELP!!!!!

well long story short i had my engine built recently but i have been having some issues with smoke from the exhaust. engine was built by a reputable mechanic so im pretty sure everything was done right. my question is how long does it take for rings to seat so i can stop smelling all the oil from my exhaust. btw engine was smoking much harder on initial start up than it is now. engine has around 60 miles since rebuild

Might check your oil return line off the turbo. I have seen many times they get plugged up with gasket stuff or anything (esp if the guy who did the install is not a turbo guy). A flow blockage on the turbo will keep the oil in the bearing and flow into the compressor and cause it to smoke. Some times you can also just pull the air intake off and look there as they will flow into that area too.

What color is the smoke? The color can give a place to start looking and considering things.
White is coolant, blue is oil, black is fuel.
