Need help/advise

I had a spark plug that was wet with coolant in the #1 cylinder and the other three were wet with oil. The car is new to me so i did a compression test and the psi is a little low which i expected. I then did a leak down test and the only this i was getting was the hissing sound comming out of the oil cap meaning rings, no air bubbles in the coolant.

My question is and what i need help with is how could the coolant get on the plug? I was thinking that my head gasket was going bad. So I ordered everything involved but dont want to replace it if its not needed. Could it be my spark plug ring gaskets??? The car doesnt overheat and doesnt smoke much.

What should I do??? Any Ideas????

Get a coolant system pressure tester and look for leaks there. Pump the radiator up to 16 PSIG and come back in an hour.

How will I know its leaking down by the spark plug?? I thought that test would only show if your radiator was leaking via a crack or broken coil. Could you please explain.. Thanks

Don't leave for an hour... ha. Stick around. Listen for hissing/leaks. Listen in the spark plug hole.

How do you know it was coolant?

If it's getting to your cylinder and you're not leaking anywhere, you may have a warped head or a small tear in your HG. That's the ONLY 2 ways to get coolant in your cylinders, UNLESS, you cracked a cylinder to which you would know if you did that. lol
