Nice one.
Since everything else is Buschur, curious as to why you didn't go with their cams?

Edit: see you're. 9... Ignore.

I had a local machine shop build my 2.4 with 10.5:1 compression.

My pump gas tune is around 25ish and I put down about mid 500's.

On E85 I'm over 700. For off boost throttle response you can not beat higher compression. Car is so damn fun everywhere in the power band.

Wow thats impressive!! Congrats buddy!!
The off boost response is whats key for a dd. (in my opinion)
I really dont see a downer to higher compression engines. Seems like the future of 4G63/4G64 engines. Lower compressions are going to be seen less and less...thats my thoughts on it. But in all honesty, what do i know lol

There are still people who prefer lower compression or no higher then 9.5

When I had my type R people that I was crazy to boost it. I made more power at 10 PSI then a friend of mine with a GSR at 15 PSI.

And his car was a slug below 5k. My car felt like a normal type r on crack.

Go high compression. You will not be disappointed. I've been told 10.5:1 is probably the highest you want to go if you are going to possibly use pump gas.

My pump gas is pretty conservative and still made 557. Actually my E85 tune is not all out either.

DUUUUUUUU EEEETTTTTT!!!!!!! LOL.

Thank you, I personally think its going to prove it self as one of the best engines for the evo of all time... Not popular, and not fully tested yet, but hell I'll guinea pig it
Ill have a nice review once im up and running

My HKS 2.3R kit recommened a 1.2mm gasket for a 9.1 compression.
My mechanic recommended I use a Tomei 1.5mm gasket, so I did.
So that would lower my compression. Now I have a larger turbo, I have a lot of lag, should I go to a thinner gasket to get a higher compression to reduce my lag?
If so, what size should I go to, as I mainly want to reduce lag, and get a better daily drive on E85, rarely using pump fuel.

Have you considered MAP? That's what I think I'm going with, their 2.3 stage 2.
