Hey evom,

I recently bolted up a turboxs 3" ti catback and all is fine except I see that it has a silencer in the muffler. I looked in and clearly see it's there. I can't seem to remove it as it is not any standard bolt or allen key. How have you owners removed this silencer?

 

Is the silencer still held in by a bolt? If so what does the head of the bolt look like?
Usually it's just a allen bolt.
If the silencer is just "stuck" in there it can be in very tight making it hard to get out.
What I did was make a hook from a piece of scrap metal I had laying around, slide it through the silencer hole and then hook on to the silencer from the rear.
Then pull on the hook to get the silencer out.

 

Thanks man. It seems like it was a silencer appearing item that is a resonator at the muffler tip. It is a full 3" but just looks like it tapered since the muffler tip is 4"+. I couldnt unscrew it because it was riveted on lol! Dumb moment! I have used the hook method on other exhausts tho.
