I've bought an Evo 8 with a blown motor. I have already swapped it with a long block bought from one of the members here. Aside from a stage 2 clutch and the IX BOV, the entire car is stock except the engine I purchased came with HKS 272 cams and ARP headstuds. Will driving on those cams without a tune hurt the engine in any way.

 

Keep it tamed and dont pound on it til you get a tune. My car was untuned when i got it with cams and on the dyno was knocking itself down due to lean
conditions. I did a self tune and gained like 60 ftlbs at 4k.
