Hmmm... Is it just me or is the 3" piping acutally a downgrade?
The piping reduces from 3" to 2.5" (I think) in order to mate it the Throttle body (look at the coupling in the pic). I'm sure the IC ports are 2.5" or so as well and not 3". Therefore, you are just creating more dead space to fill before everything goes through a 2.5" opening anyway. In theory, that would reduce throttle response and act in the same manner as if you increased the length of your piping. Am I wrong?

yes wrong...stock throttle body has a outside diameter of around 2.75 the piping ( 3 inch is inside of about 2.8) so not far off....also i cut out tons of lenght....tons...and also it has 2 harder bends and 1 slight slight one....thats all total. All those help....plus i am getting a larger intercooler very very shortly and built the system around that.

I would agree that 3" adds extra volume to fill before the turbo can actually get working. Not to mention the turbulence created at that TB coupling. Looks good though.

i could see turbulence if the size was smaller or equal like stock....with a slight gap in between it....but realistically being that the piping is larger the throttle body is inside therefore the it will be sucking freely as if it were sucking open air with no pipe connected...so def. no turbulence except maybe from the slight bends....just a differrent way of looking at it

That would mean that the inside diameter (ID) is even smaller. ... I guess I do not understand what you were trying to say.

its a special shop battery....the shop that did all the work can line you all up ...just pm me and i will get you in touch with the dude...he is really cool and can do it in a day (battery box , piping whatever...)if he knows you are coming and knows what size piping you want...it is pricey but awesome work...also yes it is a factory aluminum strut brace...i may be selling it if anyone is interested...want titanium like the other products under the hood.
