Engine Oil - Different Brand Mixing

Guys,
i am curious will there be a bad effect if we mix different brand of engine oil (mainly redline 15w-50 + motul 6100 15w-50 as top up whenever oil level drops)?

Thanks

No you are fine. Even you do switchin to diff brand or grade, you can't get 100% out of old motor oil from your car, plus i've been seen many guys mixing grade to get diff grade, which they "think" best for their car.

There's a federal law that says all engine oils have to be compatible. That's not to say that some oils are not better than others. This is for the military in case of an emergency.
