I need some help.

As I was accelerating to the freeway, the car suddenly struggled and slowly lost speed. I was able to manage to go between the exit and freeway there's a good space between me and I-15. I was towed to my place coz I thought that its just IC pipes popped off.

I checked the LICP up to the UICP and throttle body but everything is tight. A friend told me that the car is on limp mode and he will call me soon but no phone call yet. Another friend told me that it might be my cat. It got so hot and damaged itself and clogged. So I started the car again and when it warmed up I suddenly hear this whining noise coming from midsection of the exhaust.
