Turbo giving me trouble, ALOT!

When the turbo starts to spool up on my evo, the car starts to jerk really badly. When I go WOT, the car makes 10lb's of boost (usually makes 15lb's) and then doesn't want to make more but start's jerking really bad also. This started after I went to the movies on a really rainy day. I let my cousin drive the car, and he desides to get on it, on a rainy day -_-. I am assuming that water got into the turbo, or motor. I looked over all the piping and nothing was loose. I cleaned the intake thinking maybe the turbo isn't getting enough air, but no luck.

Look for boost leaks, that will cause what you are seeing, especially with a MAF (stock air flow sensor) car.

But this happened on our way back from the movies. Could have something came loose during the time it was parked?

Stuff can pop off at any time while boosting. Not saying it can't be water, but if you have a good air filter that shouldn't be an issue.

I cleaned my Maf out and it's still doing it. Everything was tight, I guess my only route now is a boost Leak test. I will try it tonight

I did the boost leak test, no boost was leaking. No shaft play in Turbo and no oil underneath it or around the Turbo.

If it were the spark plugs i don't think the car would decide to misfire when ever the turbo spools up, but that will be my next step. I took apart all piping and blew (with a compressor) pressurized air and put the car back together, yet it still does the same thing. While driving it, i said **** it and stayed WOT even while jerking very rapidly and then the exhaust started popping loudly. It is still making 10lb's of boost though. Any other suggestions?

Just give it a shot bc i had the same exact symptoms a few years back. I would hit 10psi and my car would start jerking bad. I never would have thought it would be the plugs either but my friend told me that was def the problem so i decided to give it a try and pulled the plugs and regapped them and that solved the problem.
