Can't get TOB to Release

Any suggestions?

It will not let go.

Should I just pull the bellhousing off of the trans?

Obnoxious.

Take a good look at step 47 & 48. once you do it once it's easy.

If you have 2 people and push the fork back toward the slave cylinder at the same time it will just fall out.

Thanks boss. I've never had an issue getting a TOB to release before, so that's why I made this thread. It WILL NOT let go.

We've done it quite a few times exactly per step 47's requirements.

Worst comes to worst, you can pry the fork so its pulling the TOB out, that'll over extend it and pop it right out, it will mess wave ring up though so the old clutch will be shot

The clutch is a new ACT XTSS. I suppose that may be the route I'll have to go.

NO dude just unbolt the clutch from the flywheel and once you have it down its much easier to do. After you get the tranny down with the clutch still on the TOB all you have to do is push down on the pressure plate (towards the tranny since the tranny is on its case facing up with the bellhousing looking at you) and then push the fulcrum towards the ground. This pushes the TOB up towards you and allows you to remove the ring clip that holds the TOB in place. After that the TOB and fulcrum should just drop right out of the clutch and the clutch will be free. You can even reuse the ring clip if you want as long as you didnt mangle it taking it off the TOB.

BTW you can unbolt the clutch from the flywheel using 1/4in sockets and extensions. You have to go through the hole the fulcrum goes through in the bellhousing to do it.
Get a:
mirror
flashlight
12mm extension
1/4 in extension long enough to give you room to turn the ratchet
1/4 in to 3/8 in adapter
3/8 in ratchet

sometimes i dont even bother dicking with disengaging the TOB first because when i do it like this i can save the *** pain of it not disengaging and thus saving the TOB and ring clip from damage during frustration. lol. i hope this helps.

I've been pushing the fork all night. I even turned the engine over to get a different bite on the plate but still no luck.

I agree with the unbolting of the pressure plate. I took off three of mine, and gave the screwdriver method one last shot, and guess what the TOB popped right off. So try unbolting a few and trying again, if not just unbolt them all.
