Replacing stock 8 turbo with a 8 10.5 turbo?

So my stock 9.8 hotside turbo went out and when I bought a replacement from a forum member he said it came from an 8 RS and I didn't realize it had a 10.5 hotside. Now should I notice AFR changes and expect better power from a tune? Is basically like having a 9 turbo? Because I also have a 9 turbo but the hotside blades are o so slightly rubbing against the housing.

It's not basically like having a 9 turbo, while there will be some improvement due to the turbine housing beign bigger the 9 turbo has a bigger compressor which accounts for a lot better airflow which the 8rs turbo just can't match. If you do a search you'll find out all the differences about the turbos this has been discussed extensively.
