Question AVO Exhaust Review?

Any body here have an AVO exhaust and DP? Just wondering your thoughts on the system, i.e. noise, fitment, power gains. Thanks,

marc l

p.s. also does any one have a sound clip by chance.

All I can say is wow!!! Quality is top notch!!! Very very very deep exhaust tone!!! Sleeper look!!!Not too loud on the highway and no drone!!! But still can turn heads and set off car alarms in under ground parking lots!!! Performance is awesome turbo spools around 3000rpms and pulls hard. Picked up around 40whp in conjuction with a Aps cold air intake. I wanted to go a different route with this exhaust. No jdm angle canisters for me=)That is left for my honda... Just a sleeper!!! Alittle pricey but well worth the extra cash I hope this helps you...

Could anyone post some pics of the AVO catback installed. I cannot find a picture anywhere. Especially interested in a picture of the tip around the bumper

I second that request. I would also like to see some photos on someone's car. I'm very interested in seeing an exhaust with the canister muffler poking out and all that goodness.

Can someone tell me is the exhaust straight exit? Also, how far out does the tip stick past the bumper? Is it about the same as stock?

avo

Just picture the stock exhaust except stainless steel and much higher quality!!! The tip almosy looks stock except alittle bigger. Matches bumper just like stock. It looks so stock perfect sleeper look. There was a cop behind the other day. This guy followed me for like 10 miles all the way to my house, and was just park in front of my house staring at me. I was thinking like what the f*%k in my head I was expecting him to pull me over!!! He was probably scrathing his head wondering if my exhaust was stock!!! Or trying to wait for me to do something stupid!!! Dont these guys got anything better to do but bother us normal people!!! Go save some lives, find people causing trouble, doing drugs. And leave the rest of us going home from a long day at work alone

I have seen this exhaust (turboback) displayed in a shop and it is nothing short of impressive. Retains factory looks, but damn is it high quality. I was quoted out here $995 for turboback w/ testpipe. not too bad if you ask me

I've got some things to add after having the AVO Catback for 1 week. Not sure if all exhausts experience this but- the car is much more willing to hang out at higher rpm's. There is also less engine braking when you are off the throttle, and bucking behavior is slightly reduced. To me it makes sense that because the engine is more willing to stay at 3K and above with the same throttle pressure, and there is less engine braking, there must be an improvement in gas mileage. I haven't been through a whole take of gas yet, so I haven't checked for sure. Anyone else feel these things about the AVO or their exhaust? I do not notice any negative effects of having this exhaust and it leaves me wondering why mitsubishi put that flapper valve on the stock muffler.

No, but I'm still running the stock cat. I'm getting an HKS DP in a couple of weeks, so I'll give an update on that. I plan on running the stock cat for a while.
