dont reuse the studs, just buy new ones, and use lock tite, remember to use the double nut method, so that way the stud is fully tightened into the threads, then you can use a torque wrench to torque em down, after youve torqued them down, use something flat and put it across the studs to verify there all the same length, that way you know theres not one thats not fully seated in the head. then after that, you can install the manifold, but make sure you evenly torque the manifold in the proper sequence or you can have a small exhaust leak. hope this help

I've honestly never used any specific sequence for tightening 4G63 exhaust manifolds, and I've done a number of them. Nor have I used new studs and nor have I ever had leaks from there, but hey, not everyone's this lucky.

I usually just tighten them down evenly and then torque (usually just crank on them pretty good).
