ATF Dexron3 on the tranny?

ATF Dexron3 on the tranny?

A lot of people and supra guys are reporting good reports in using this dexron3 ATF on the tranny, has anyone try it?

Since ATF has very little in the way of extreme pressure or anti-wear additives, i don't see that it would be better for the transmission. ATF is merely a hydraulic fluid-- not a gear lube.

However, since ATF generally has the viscosity of a 0w-20 motor oil, the shifting should be very very light. Whereas something like Redline MTL (which is a light 70w-80 GL-4) is very close to a 10w-30.
