electrical or fuel problem?

hey guys just recently bought an evo 7 and having many problems so i came here to seek more advice hopefully you guys will be able to help me.
ok so i was driving down the road .. all of a sudden the engine light came on .. within about a minute or so the car dies .. i go to start it back up , it idles and sounds normal for about 5 seconds and then dies again , did this few times with the same result.I then left it for a few hours came back to it , started it , and it was fine .. it then died again in my driveway (lucky) .. same thing all over again will idle for few seconds and then die .. so next die i decided to take out the alarm system .. also checked fuel pump and yes theres power and yes pump works fine but my problem is still there ! i just drove the car up and down my street gave it a boot in 2nd and straight after engine lights come on and the whole process repeats .. waited few hours and drove her home .. now im starting to think its more of a fuel problem rather than electrical?

hi

do a search on water damage connectors. my E7 had your problems. was bad loom connector under kickpanel left side dash on my car. E7 has a production fault so water can destroy your connectors in loom

best regards

Definitely sounds like a electrical issue. It's almost as if a sensor of some sort is getting warmed up and then either failing or telling the car to shut off. In other words, I would find a code reader or a OBD scanner and find what's telling it to shut off. It should easily lead you to the culprit. Best of Luck
