Clutch for light modded evo

I recently upgraded my engine with aftermarket internals, bigger turbo, intercooler, fuel pump, injectors, so I should be running some decent power, what clutch to go with?

I've wanted to try an Exedy twin for 8 years now but I keep going back to ACT. They have heavier pedal pressure but hold the power nicely.

With a 6 puck, un-sprung disc with the factory pressure plate and flywheel, it was cheap but hard to drive and drivetrain shock was scary as you can't slip it a.k.a. on/off switch. I used this setup twice and one disc had the rivets come loose and exploded destroying my flywheel in the process.

Next was the HDSS sprung street disc setup with a Fidanza flywheel. Drives smooth but the disc is heavy causing gear lockouts while shifting at high rpm both times I used it. It was great on the street but absolutely sucked for racing IMHO.

My new setup is the HDSS 6 puck sprung disc with the Fidanza and I love it. It's not the smoothest leaving a stop but after that, it drives smooth and shifts like a dream(fast) at 7800rpm. My favorite setup yet.

Hope this helps if you happen to go for an ACT.

i would suggest to go bigger than you think.for instance,if you are going to put down 500whp/400ft-lb go with at the very least something rated for 500+ft-lb.those ratings you see listed by the clutch manufacturer are crank figures and being a 4wd car,you are going to lose close to 20% off the crank figure.plus it never hurts to have extra, you don't want to be right on the clutches max,it won't last long that way.

thanks everybody for all the info. I'm thinking ACT 6 puck is the way to go since a lot of guys like it and it seems to hold just fine, plus saves me some money.
