on the 2.5 vs 3" subject - IMHO 3" will net slightly more peak hp - while 2.67 " spools up a bit better and makes better trq

I have dyno verification of this info and Simon Norris as also claimed the same

BTW - all of this deopends on the turbo size, compresion ratio and other mods.

My car for example has the HKS 2.67 " down pipe and makes more trq with the UR high flow cat installed and spools quicker

How much boost is he running now (the thread starter - I am not sure which name to address...)? I am installing my boost controller and fuel pump this weekend at Pruven (I hope), so I expect to get some nice numbers when I have Al reflash my car... I was planning on running 22 psi - about 1.5 bar.

I like to stay at 20 psi with pump gas

We can do some pulls at various boost points to see how it effects power

make sure you call pruven an make arrangements if you need them to install anything - it will be a very busy day

Careful. I've cracked headers by thermal wrapping them. Just something to be aware of...

Al, on the 2.67 dp, I'm assuming it's hooked up to a 3" high flow, or is it a differnt size?

DAVE-

PlEASE post "EVO ECONOMY PACKAGE" Dyno figures. Please I want to match the power and torque curves to what you show for your Stage 1 upgrade Kit (which utilizes the 3" turbo back exhaust rather than the 2.5" of the Econo pkg.). I've got a nickle here that says the 2.5" makes more torque. This will be the impetus for you to FABRICATE a 3" flanged "cat back exhaust" with muffler delete pipe style ending - ; one that can bolt onto a 3" HF cat or 3" test pipe. This would make the "ultimate" exhaust for the stock turbo application. Plus mufflers add weight and are for posers, right

ECONO STAGE:

BR EVO VIII AIR FILTER KIT
BR EVO VIII 2.5" DOWNPIPE
BR EVO VIII 2.5" MUFFLER DELETE PIPE
BR BOOST GAUGE PACKAGE
BR MANUAL BOOST CONTROLLER
BR SUPER AFC II WITH BR SETTINGS

STAGE 1 AS TESTED:

FUEL - 94 OCTANE UNLEADED (NO OCTANE BOOSTERS OR RACEGAS)
BOOST - 19PSI
BOOST CONTROL - BR MANUAL BOOST CONTROL
INTERNAL ENGINE MODIFICATIONS - NONE
TURBO MODIFICATIONS - NONE
INTERCOOLER - STOCK
INTAKE MODIFICATIONS - BR AIR FILTER KIT
EXHAUST MODIFICATIONS - BR 3" FULL EXHAUST
CATALYTIC CONVERTER - NONE
ECU MODIFICATIONS - NONE
FUEL TUNING MODIFICATIONS - SUPER AFC w/BR CALIBRATION
FUEL DELIVERY MODIFICATIONS - NONE
