ETS short route w/ Tial VTA fitment ?

I am installing the ETS short route uicp with a Tial Q here shortly.. I would like to know what kind of interference there is, if any with the turbo inlet pipe and factory maf or anything else? I think I will just be using the oem tube with bov hole capped until I get a new pipe. I need a pipe with no bov hole that retains the maf sensor.

I just want to try and be prepared when I pull everything apart. Can't have no down time. Thanks

The stock inlet will work but if your trying to keep the stock airbox your going to be out of luck without cutting it up. The bottom of the airbox goes where the lower part of the intercooler pipe needs to go.

On the short route pipe you'll have space for just about any vta bov you want.

ETS also makes a 3" intake for speed density cars. The only real difference is that it has no recirc flange for the bov hose.

You do realize you'll have some driveability issues going vent to atmo on a maf car? Not a deal breaker but it will go rich on shifts.

Here is a pic of the short route with the stock intake.

Better picture to show how much room you have

This guy kept some of the box but had to hack it up (you can see the cone filter poking out)

Thanks for the reply and pictures! I just have a cone filter setup so no issues with the airbox. As for the vta issues, TSComp is going to retune it so I will be fine with that.

there is no way to 'tune' it out. The maf has already metered that air and is going to inject fuel based on that calculation. Then you let off the throttle and WOOSH that air is now gone but the fuel is still going to be injected. So you go rich. Worst case scenario you might get a backfire now and then on wot ****s. It will be a short lived condition. maybe tscomp has a way to minimize it but reducing the fueling in the areas hit during a shift. Just go speed density and get rid of the maf all together
