exedy triple questions

I bought one used and the guy said all it needed was the hub and one friction discs due to it wearing funny on the hub (notches in both, i called exedy and they said that it happens when the clutch slave cyl. isnt adjusted properly.

anyways i got a new disc in and i was comparing it to the two "good" discs and they have a little bit of wear in the splines as well, but i am not sure if its normal or not. Can anyone comment on if thet look normal or not? one is measured in at 3.96 and the other at 3.97 thickness.

One of the used but "good" discs:

a brand new disc from exedy:

old hub:

new hub i ordred:

anything to worry about?

thanks

josh

It will just make noises. They are a little worned out. Thats the cluncking noise youll hear when you shut the engine off.

Ohh so if the noise is from the hub to disc spines, then is there is no way to stop the wear and the noise? Didnt realize the noise was from the hub to discs.. I thought/figured it was from disc to disc

Well in my case this is the clunking noise. The chatter is from the discs. This damage is from launches.

^^^ oh thanks for the info... I also figured the clutch could handle launches.. but I guess the clutch discs and pressure plate can but the hub is obviously the weakest link Dammit...

So those would be ok to run even if they are worn a little on the splines? this wont affect shifting or anything? I want it to work perfectly, but i dont want to buy extra parts for no reason.

thanks,

josh
