Speed Density Question !!!

I currently have factory fuel system setup, Mass air flow setup. If my shop is telling me I have to switch to " speed density " ......what does that mean and what current setup needs to be upgraded ?

i think they are telling you to ditch the MAF and go with air intake temp/and mapbar sensor.

Intake, map sensor and ait. Why they wants you to go SD?

Well, my shop/tuner is saying once you go SD sky's the limit, it's easier to tune especially running e85 boosting 27+ psi

MAP sensor and a tune are all you need. Much smoother all around, regardless of the power level.

Your tuner will most likely calibrate speed density off of your fuel temp sensor rather than an IAT, as the fuel temp is a bit more consistent.
