A/C issues

I charged my a/c before leaving the gas station. So when I was driving home the a/c doesn't seem to blow cold air til after driving for 10 min. as I get closer to the house, while on the stop light, I see smoke coming from the engine bay. By the time I opened my hood , there was liquid all over the place. no smell just liquid.

Any Ideas and remedies? Did I overcharge my a/c? If so what can I do to fix it?

Get the AC kit with the gauge, turn the car on, hook the gauge up read the PSI with the AC on full blast and make sure the AC is actualy on or it will read WAY to high so make sure the clutch is engaged on the ac and everything. On my car any thing over 44PSI while running, will cause my AC to shut on and off, so im guessing n this car 40PSI is max for the AC. You prolly have a leak which is kinda easy to fix depending. Why did you charge it in the first place? This liquid if it was oily it was most definitly AC refridgerant since its mostly oil.
