So looking at my new pump and going back trying to remember what was inside my old one. I seem to remember being a pressure relief spring and piston.

I took the new pump apart when I got it to do some modification to it and there wasn't anything inside it.
It would be under this hex plug.

Just trying to figure out if my brand new pump was missing this or if it's normal.

Thats normal, the spring and piston are on the oil filter housing not the pump.
