megan o2/ams downpipe hits tc?
I currently have the megan o2 housing installed with the ams turbo-back exhaust. When I was under the car the other day replacing the front motor mount, I noticed that the ams downpipe is actually resting against the passenger side of the transfer case. Has anyone else had this problem using this setup/ I am all ears for solutions, maybe going with a different o2 housing or something?
Thanks
Thanks

I'll have to get under there and look again, but I think its actually against the tc itself, on the passenger side of it. It weird, because it never triggered the shift knock before i installed the cams and got retuned. I guess all the extra power its making is causing more flexing in the motor/drivetrain.

Hmmm...well I did have to unbolt the passenger side mount when I did my timing belt/cam job a couple months back, but I cant say I did a thorough inspection of it. I have the torque solutions mount for the front motor mount......you think I should look at upgrading that passenger side mount? I'll look into that, they arent too expensive
ca18hatch24, I have the megan 02 with COBB downpipe and it was hitting the same spot you're talking about. It only hit the transfer case when the car is about to cut out, like not giving enough throttle when accelerating in first gear, but other than that it doesn't hit/rest on the transfer case.

Remove the downpipe, grab a ball point hammer, and make slight dent to clear that spot. Tons have been doing it since 2005. No, there is no loss in flow or power output. The problem is the slight angle change with your o2 housing. On my old 8, I had a ported stock o2 housing and Buschur downpipe with no issues.
