transmission issue..

Well im getting pretty pissed at this issue, maybe someone can help. I have a exedy twin disc, and its a royal pain to get into first and reverse from a stop. Reverse even grinds half the time and shakes the car. I have tried adjusting the clutch how the video provided by Jacks transmission suggest, and have blead the clutch. Still nothing. If i turn the car off put it in R than start its perfectly fine. I dont think the clutch is dragging because on a flat surface if i put it in 1st and rev it up it doesnt move. Im stumped here, if someone can suggest something that works or help me out i owe you a case of beer. If nothing works im taking it all out this winter, rebuilding the twin disc, and sending the trans and t case to Jack or John Shep. Or finding a 6 speed trans(would like better for daily use, better mpgs) since i dont race much.

Is there a way to inspect it without pulling the trans?

Thats what i thought as well, but it doesnt slip under heavy acel in 4th or 5th. Nor during wot in 3rd from 2,500/7,500 rpm.

What i know is you cant inspect without open the trans. Its part of reasons people find out how much cost to rebuild their tranny after send to shops.

Its one part of reason i said about fluid. Its cheap way to try. Fluid isnt going to fix, but it *might* can help a little. I also had amsoil in my 6 spds, always grinds and worst when its cold.

sounds like the clutch is not releasing the whole way. jack the car up on all 4, with the engine running, put the car in gear and push the clutch in, if the wheels still spins with the clutch in, or the engine stall with the car in gear and clutch in and brake on, then that means the clutch is not releasing all the way. i've run all amsoil fluids in my track car for two years, they are good fluids.
