P0300 misfire code fix!!!!!
Also - it should be noted that the same applies to the Buschur Flash - it also has the misfire code correction technology and also - IN the event that a dealer flashed over it you also would get your original program flashed back in for free
ALL programs are backed up on disk and saved for these kind of events
We even had two guys wreck their evos who then were able to send in the ecu's from their new cars and get the Dyno Flash for their set of mods they took off the wrecked car
Thats free also

No, never got the code or any code. Everything is fine and my Dynoflash is great. Al, do you think you can get the ECU to control boost like a MBC through the flash so we don't need to spend money on one and also be stealth when going to the dealer? My flash holds boost better and does not taper as much, but I mean a full boost control right through the ECU.

IF you notice NONE of our clients are the ones who are complaining about this !

This is not quite correct Al. I know for a fact that Robi's ecu threw the code this weekend. He is dynoflashed, correct?

Al, I know you aren't willing to tell us how you fixed it. but what exactly was causing the problem? Was the knock sensitivity set too high? Was there an error in the code?

... Finally - you will NEVER - EVER - see Dyno Flash reduce or eliminate the stock knock correction function. While such methods may be nice for short term fun they are not something we recomend or even think about.

By running the car rich and even richer at certain points in the power band we have been able to get our cars to run absent any detonation across the power band
This means the stock ecu is NOT pulling timing in certain areas and it also means we do not have to also pull timing to avoid the knock correction ...

Robi's car does not really apply - its a race application and his misfire codes have more to do with running super high boost and 12.0 a/f's at 400 whp
When we are done - you can still have a miss fire code if you get mis fires - - we just correct the problem WHY stock cars with no misfunctions are misfiring - if that helps ???

I realize I'm bumping a slightly older thread here, but I have been throwing the p0300 repeatedly over the last few weeks and it's driving me insane.
Any word/updates on the mitsu reflash/ecu update? I am going to call the dealership about it tomorrow and take a gander at my plugs... it seems to be getting worse, I had to get off the highway yesterday because I kept feeling the thing misfire. It's like a small stutter in engine power, accompanied by a light vibration in the steering wheel. NOT good!!
FWIW this only ever happens to me when I get on it in 5th gear on the highway, then let off and resume throttle at any position. Very irritating.

I'm only at 12,300 miles right now. I will take pics of the plugs for sure, hope the weather is nice tomorrow.
Can someone educate me really quickly on what this misfire consists of? Is it a fuel combustion issue like I think it is? Is it a form of detonation? Is it essentially the ecu's knock sensor being triggered past a certain threshold?
Any info would be great. I don't want to sound like a typical person calling the service department if you get my drift.

Update: just spoke with the service manager at Cortese Mitsubishi (Bob) here in Rochester.
He was a very cool guy. He knew about the problem and knew about the upcoming mitsu reflash. He asked me about my mods and I said I do have an intake and a d/v and he said "Well that shouldn't be causing any problems like this." so I am in the clear on those.
I have to pick up a torque wrench (sigh) and an SP socket so I can take a look at these plugs, but I'm wondering if that's even going to be the issue. Why doesn't the ECU throw any cylinder-specific error codes? It always throws P0300 or "multiple" cylinder misfires.
Anyhow more info to come. Bob suggested it might have something to do with the head, he mentioned overheating but I haven't ever had a problem like that. He also commented that it was strange for my car to be so young and have this issue, which I must agree with.

Do you guys know anything about the recent changes in gas formulas used up here in the northeast? It's my understanding that some chemical was removed because it was being found in drinking water (mercury perhaps? I don't know) ...
