The results seem great but how does the cost stack up against E85 at the pump? If I remember correctly, this new blend is costly.

it's not cheap, $33 a gallon. It's more for when you need that extra. Keep in mind the % gained remains pretty much linear. So on a 900whp car the gains would be double.

So run E100 and it's still only 3.50 a gallon. I will not pay $33 a gallon

It makes more power than E100 too. This evo above was on 3 psi less and only only had a chance to do 4 pulls on the FTW.

how does it compare to VP import for power?

i don't think the 900whp EVO's out there have much room left in their fuel systems, and i'm guessing this is highly oxygenated Etahanol, which is going to take even more fuel.

i think guys here use Ethanol b/c it's cheap and if they wanted to spend big bucks the race gas would be a lot easier to make big power.

nice gains over the E85 though and i'm sure this fuel is awesome if you have the dough and the fuel system.

it makes more than import as well. I understand the cost, trust me. It's for track guys looking to pickup 100whp at 900 when they are out of everything else. If you have a high hp ethanol car, it will pickup a significant amount of power across the board.

E98 has been proven to gain 7-10% over vp import multiple times. Now we all know that ethanol was and is thought of a cost effective alternative to racing fuel but this is a racing ethanol.

Here is just one test done by Tony at t1 race development.

It's legit. I hope to get some soon and try it out at ER.

Thanks Chris Miller!

Those are some nice gains over E85, but bang for the buck its certainly not for every day use..like you alluded to.

This seems like it would be a great "get over the hump" fuel. Depending on how much is used in comparison to E85 5 Gals could last you a event like the shootout.

No nitro. It's been tested many times.
