Does the Evo 8/9 use crush washers? I know the 1G engines oil squirters do; but it seems the 8/9 don't? At least I can't find them in ASA. Then I read on a DSM forum that our engines oil squirters don't use them. Not sure what to believe so I'd appreciate an answer from someone who's disassembled theirs before. I'm building this engine from scratch and don't have one to go off of LOL. I need a service manual...

 

I just looked at some oil squirters I have here at the house and don't see any crush washers. I took them directly out of a block and bagged them so I'm sure they weren't there.

 

Evo's do not use crush washers.

Hey, found a service manual finally, but I have another question. Should I use threadlock on the bolts that hold these in? Manual just shows the torques specs.

 

I've not had any problems out of the engine's I've built using no loctite. Are you doing a 2.0 or a stroker engine?
