Issue with GSC Retainer

I'm installing my GSC springs + retainers and am running into an issue with one of the retainers. This particular retainer will not allow the keepers will not seat properly, and this has been tested with multiple sets of keepers and on different valves. Could this possibly be a machining error, here are pictures to illustrate.

1 - How keepers should sit

2 - Keepers not being locked in place fully by retaining

3 - With spring attachment removed

4 - Switched in a factory retainer to ensure non issue with valve + keepers

I used the same tool and retainers with no problems. I sure had to finesse things however.

Does all of the retainers have that same issue or is it hit and miss or is it the specific valve

I tried this particular keeper with multiple springs and valves, and even played mix and match with retainers to no avail

This tool is pretty bad ***, all I had to do was make sure the specific pair of pistons were at respective TDC/BDC

Just this retainer, the rest of the retainers are cake.

if the issue is actually a machine error you will have to contact the supplier about replacement. Noone here can do that for you. They may be interested in even seeing the defect, or how one made it by qc.

i put in s2's, gsc springs and retainers.. worth every penny.. sorry to heaer of your troubles.
