Just got the Evo up and running from the fresh engine build and the exhaust note is now raspy. It's a turbo xs catback. What exhaust are the fully built evo's running that sounds nice?

 

is everything port matched? i only ask because you usualy get rasp from ports not matching up or really low quality metal used for the exhaust.

 

I have not heard a built motor Evo sound nearly as good as a stock block one. Not sure why they sound so different but you won't get it to sound like it once did.

 

Not sure if everything is port matched, but it's the same exhaust that was on it when stock, never was touched. And surely some of these high hp evo's on here have a good sound. I hope. Lol I'm looking at the apexi gt catback. I'd like some reviews.

so a built motor will have a different exhaust note over a stock one? considering its a stock 2.0 vs. built 2.0... dont mean to thread jack sorry OP
