Homebrew Double Pumper

Over the past week or 2 Adam (spoolin63) and I have been working away at making a complete double pump solution with Hobbs switch to keep the stock regulator from being over run at idle. Original setup utilized 2 Walbro H.O pump, but were switched with standard pumps since i already had a Walbro in the car. On to the pics

I had a few friends asking me about the double pemper setups that Buschur sells and took a look at it and decide to take a crack at it. After some trial and error I finally came up with a fittings setup that I could use and still have an an fitting up top. Flow more and easy to upgrade down the road. Read numerous posts about how the factory line became a back prssure issue at high boost. With this setup you can easily run a -6 line to the regulator in the future. So what I have come up is with I think is very nice setup for a little heaper. Not bashing anyone that makes a double pump setup or saying this is superior but just showing fellow members and proving to myself that I can do it.

Looks like you're using the same wire connector as shown here:

Where did you find that submersible fuel hose and the fuel injection hose clamps? I can't find them anywhere locally.

250$ minus pumps. Could easily build with new pumps and sell for 450$ as you see it.

Have to do the final number crunching.

Thats not really an elecrical connector. Its just a sealed electrical pass through. Lock tight grip cord same as the one he used and Bushur. Hose and clamps all came from my work.

That's awesome. Glad people still try to DIY instead of just buy buy buy

250 minus pumps. The BR setup is the same basic price with two new pumps. Saving 50 bucks isn't that big a deal. For the time and effort I would rather just order it up from BR.

But order the BR setup with an fittings and what do you get? A hanger with pump and an fittings on top and thats it. I could do that for about 50$ to fuel hanger and hang some pumps on it. So 250$ for a full an fitting setup is actually cheap. Price it out. It isnt cheap.

I could build a setup like what BR sells with fuel hose and filter for way cheaper but my point was in doing one more aimed at BRs an fitting setup for cheaper.

Final number crunching comes to around 150$ in materials. So it in my opinion is a big payoff for what you get.
