Question GrimmSpeed's porting and ceramic coating service - anyone done it?

Well i just pulled the trigger and sent off my intake and exhaust manifold along with my TB to GrimmSpeed for their ceramic coating and porting service. What kind of gains are to be had with something like this? Anyone here have this done by them? I hear good things about GrimmSpeed but I've never had any fab work done by them. I do have their Master Cylinder Brace which has ceramic coating on it, and if that's the quality of ceramic coating they do I am super pumped!

Any pics of their work other than whats on the site? I'm curious to see what I'm getting into before it comes back. Anticipation is killing me!

**Update***

I just got them back and snapped a few pics for you to see. Here is a video
All I have to say is WOW! These guys are talented. I'll let the work speak for itself.

My friend does a lot of porting up there and he's very good at it, you should be in good hands! Gains will vary depending on your set up which is why its hard to put a number on it. But it will be better than having stock manifolds

Thanks guys. I'm really excited to see how it turns out. So what is it exactly about porting, polishing, and ceramic coating that improves performance? Also, does the head have to be ported to match as well or can I get away with leaving it stock?

I havent had experience with their porting first hand, but from all the suby reviews, its good.

If you wanna read some reviews, just go to the suby site, NASIOC. Also, they are on AIM all the time and are super nice and happy to answer questions.

Several thousand miles on their coatings (Including my AMS cast exhaust mani) and no peeling or bubbling at all and it really does keep things cooler. Also their P&P work is epic, no complaints there either.

That's great to hear! The parts I posted pics of still haven't been coated yet either. I bet they will look great. How much larger do you think they are porting these over stock?

Is your head ported to match the head side of the exhaust manifold?

Looking good! We just got this shipped out this afternoon. FYI the exhaust manifold has only gone through it's first stage or carbiding in this picture. It will look much different when you get it
