Evo 8 MR Transmission Fluid

After reading all the posts I'm leaning heavily toward OEM Tranny fluid. I have read some posts about Amsoil MTG 75/90w, has anyone had actual real problems come from running Amsoil? Metal shavings, transmission failure, etc? Anyone who ran Amsoil in an MR would you highly recommend it?

Run the oem fluid, ONLY! I learned the hard way when I used redline, right viscosity an everything, trans went out maybe 2 months later, my 2 cents

If Buschur tells you to run oem tranny fluid and transfer case fluid then you do it. I have heard from numerous people about failures when neither of those were used. Save yourself hassle and trouble and just buy it. It will last a couple changes.

I have run Amsoil in my Diff, Tranny, TC, and Motor for the past 5 Years. I have never broken any drivetrain parts or motor. Anyone that knows me will tell you I drag my car every chance I get. That's well over 100 launches. That's my .02. Good luck.

I ran OE for a few changes and then switched to the OE Mopar Viper fluid. Definitely shifted smoother for my MR 6MT. Look it up here there's a few threads about it.

im running amsoil mtg in my 6 speed now and it actually has helped out with smoother shifts and engagements and much more quiet. idk what was in the car before i bought it but the amsoil is good stuff. i also run the oem t/c oil for right now. same in the diff and no problems. thinking about switching to amsoil severe shock gear oil the next time i change fluids in the diffs.

The car has only 29k miles on it right now and I don't drive it hard, but I'm getting really tired of 1st to 2nd occasional grind. Just a little to notchy for me. I have thought also about the castrol stuff used in the Viper as well. This is all really good feedback I appreciate it
