act clutches?

I'm thinking about investing on a new clutch in the near future. Most likely summer time. I prefer to get a ACT. My friend has one on his 240 and I love it. He tells me it's a stage two. I'm not too sure if ACT has released one for the Evo. However I am looking for a clutch decently stronger then stock but still retains good driveability. Daily driver. That doesn't grab TOO hard.

If the Nissan camp has followed the Probe GT (PGT) guys, they call the standard HD pressure plate and street disk a "stage 2". I've never understood the obsession with "stage this, and stage that".

Go the the EVO engine/turbo/drivetrain forum and do search for ACT. ACT themeselves have been very thorough in explaining the stock clutch as well as what they have done to create a new clutch for the EVO, it's very educational.

Then check out the classified section, many vendors are offering the ACT clutch for the EVO, the prices range but it's probably the most reasonably priced clutch on the market for the EVO right now. ProstreetOnline is running a sale and giving evom members an additional $30 bucks off and they offer free shipping, so you should be able to walk away with one for around $460.
