SAFC and Flash
But will I have the same power as now. I thought the two would work together. So I should keep the afc. get the flash and then get the afc retuned to draw out the extra gains. Will the flash be able to do what the afc does and more? . I mean I could probably sell the thing for $275 - 300. Thanks nastea
David Buschur said that you could set all the settings to 0, the %'s. And like nastea said, use it for other applications. Im keeping mine in the car. It's worth it to me. Guess if you could use the money on something else.
Keep the s-afc set to 0 across the board, and get the flash. After the flash , if you go the drag strip or aything using race gas. You can lean the car out with the s-afc a little more and pump more boost for the mad POWAAAA

I have a question for you. I was driving home today thinking about posting this same question. When I ran my Suby, we reflashed it using EcuTek Software. However, I could not go as far as tuning it with an afc let alone using a mbc or ebc
So..
I thought if you turn off your afc (in my case AFCII), the car acts as if the ecu is stock and not tuned, correct? Therefore, could you flash the ecu and have that as the default setting when the afc is turned off? Therefore, if you turned the afc on, it would just hold settings for leaning out the mixture, etc?
Please
Thanks..

You don't need the AFC with the flash. It is a good tool for fine tuning but to be honest most guys won't be able to get it any closer.
The flash is available now and only through us. In order to get the flash we did with Al you will have to call us and pay for it, we will then give you an RA number to enclose with the ECU. Al WILL NOT reflash the ECU with our tune in it without this RA number.
If you already have the AFC and want to get the flash you would be best off to keep the AFC for fine tuning, if you can do it. When installing the AFC WITH the flash you will simply zero out the AFC.
If you have the flash you do not have to run the AFC with it. This means for the guys without the AFC already you more than likely will never have to purchase it.
The ECU has to get sent to Al. It has to be sent with an RA number from Buschur Racing though. This RA number gets issued when you call us and pay for the flash. You then just mail it in to the address we give you with the number. We take the credit card and process the sale at our shop.
The Buschurflash is what we (Al and Buschur Racing) have come up with to call our flash. The flash we came up with this weekend is exclusive to us. The Dynoflash Al has offered in the past is still available.

There is no on/off switch (SAFC) not sure about the AFCII though, and it probably woulndn't run, your wires are spliced/re-routed throught the ECU, so if you turn off the power, the ECU will trip, throwing off all of the #'s, I would not recomend this.........
Just my opinion.....
There should be a option in one of the menu's, in the SAFC (1) there is one.. its called......... "Initialize" But this will reset ALL, so make sure you know how to put it back........
