Need advice on BOV and IAT sensor location (going speed density)

Hello EvoM I need your help and advice. I searched on the subject but couldn't really find any info (probably not looking in the right place)

Long story short: I am switching my car to speed density and I am wondering the best location to mount the bov. My old set up was a JMF intake with a Synapse DV recirculated. I purchased a JMF 4 inch intake w/no recirculate to replace old.

Since I am switching to SD there is no need to run a recirculated BOV correct?

Should I mount the BOV to the IC pipe? If so where is a good location or rule of thumb for placement?

Last question I promise, I can mount the IAT sensor on the IC piping as well correct? Placement?

Thanks a bunch in advance!

Tim

This were the BOV reticulates into right now.

Me showing the weld on adaptor, Is this a good place?

new intake

old verses new

BOV should be put near the throttle body, AIT should be near the intercooler on the lower section of the upper intercooler pipe, and you do not have to recirculate the BOV on speed density.

One of my friends just picked up an UICP with the AIT sensor installed.

Thanks for the pic.

My tuner suggested less than 6 inches from the throttle body. Hmmmm.

We talked a bit on FB last night, but one comment... I believe there is still an advantage to running the BOV recirculated.

I agree my self if it is set up properly.

It does help supply air to the compressor , and under racing conditions, the bov is completely sealed from environment .. Mine leaks at idle slightly and I am afraid stuff could find its way to the seat even with a steady stream of venting air

So I was told. Or in the Intake manifold itself. Just try not to cause too much turbulence.

I don't see it hurting anything but empirical proof of it helping is tough to find
